Our Founding Story
RapidFire AI is an open-source project co-founded by Professor Arun Kumar (UC San Diego), Jack Norris, and Pradyumna Sridhara to make AI experimentation radically more efficient, enabling teams to reach real business impact with less time and compute.
The system builds on Professor Kumar’s award-winning research at UC San Diego CSE and Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute. Work from his lab has influenced products at companies such as Google, Meta, Oracle, and VMware, been incorporated into open source projects, and used across campuses.
